Rating Criteria: How We Determined the Best Companies
To create an objective and useful rating, we developed a comprehensive methodology based on analysis of public data, technical documentation, and company reputation. Our assessment is not subjective but is based on clear and measurable criteria.
Experience, Scale, and Manufacturer Status
Many companies in the Kyiv market position themselves as “manufacturers.” It is important to understand that in Ukrainian reality, this usually does not mean creating PVC film from scratch. “Manufacturing” is a process that includes cutting imported fabrics (of European or Asian origin) on specialized equipment and welding a fastening element, the so-called “harpoon,” to them. The presence of your own production shop is a key indicator of company seriousness. This allows you to control cutting quality, significantly speed up order fulfillment, and implement complex design projects. Companies that only have an office and hire outside teams often cannot guarantee the same level of responsibility and flexibility. Therefore, in our rating, preference is given to companies with confirmed work experience (from 10 years), a large number of completed projects, and their own production facilities.
Assortment and Material Origin
The quality of the fabric is the foundation of suspended ceiling durability and safety. Companies offer materials from various manufacturers: premium European brands (Teqtum, Barrisol, RENOLIT, PONGS, Clipso, Descor) and popular Asian ones, in particular MSD. European fabrics are distinguished by higher standards of environmental friendliness, fire safety (M-1, M-2 class, meaning fire resistance), and color stability. At the same time, quality Chinese manufacturers, such as MSD, offer various product lines (for example, Classic and Premium) that also differ in density and characteristics. Companies that openly declare the brands of materials they work with and provide compliance certificates receive a higher score in our rating. This indicates their focus on quality rather than just minimizing costs.
Pricing Policy and Transparency
There are two main approaches to pricing on the market. The first is marketing-based, with attractive offers of “price from 159 UAH/m²”. Such a price typically includes only the cost of the cheapest fabric and does not account for the cost of the profile, installation work, corner finishing, lighting installation, and other mandatory components. The final cost can be 2-3 times higher. The second approach is transparent. Companies following it provide detailed price lists or functional online calculators where you can calculate the full cost of the project “turnkey.” Such an approach demonstrates respect for the client and honesty in business conduct. We highly rate companies that provide clear information about the cost not only of square meters of fabric but also of running meters of profile and all additional work.
Reputation and Customer Reviews
We analyzed hundreds of reviews on company websites and independent platforms such as Kabanchik.ua and other rating resources. We evaluated not only the overall rating but also the content of comments. Key markers of quality are reviews that highlight the professionalism and politeness of installation teams, punctuality, cleanliness after work completion, and effective communication with managers and measurers.
Warranty and Service
Official warranty is confirmation of company confidence in the quality of their materials and work. The warranty period on the market ranges from 10 to 25 years. An important condition for a high rating is the provision of an official contract that clearly outlines all warranty obligations.
