Evolution of recreational architecture and macroeconomic context

The modern hotel-recreational and sanatorium-resort sector of Ukraine is experiencing an era of fundamental conceptual renaissance. The industry is irrevocably moving away from outdated Soviet models of preventive medical bases, transforming into premium world-class architectural complexes. Today, the top sanatoriums of Ukraine, whose architecture is based on the principles of sustainable development, energy efficiency, and biophilic design, demonstrate an unprecedented level of integration of innovative construction technologies into the natural landscape.

This large-scale architectural evolution is dictated not only by a change in consumer aesthetic preferences but also by harsh market realities and the requirements of financial institutions. For the modern investor, architectural appeal, durability of materials, and optimization of engineering networks are key factors in assessing the return on investment (ROI). According to statistics from Ribas Hotels Group, while in 2020 more than 90% of the market was formed by traditional models (hotels accounted for 42%, recreation centers — 35%, classic sanatoriums — 15%), today the market is rapidly reformatting into multifunctional wellness resorts. The accelerated transformation is due to the fact that up to 85% of tourist travel now falls on the domestic market, stimulating fierce competition for the domestic consumer, who expects a European level of comfort and design.

In conditions where the cost of construction is steadily growing (by almost 20% in annual terms as of 2026), the use of innovative, wear-resistant materials becomes not just a matter of aesthetics, but a critical requirement for the financial security of the project. Developers can no longer afford materials that need replacement every 5-7 years. Modern architectural solutions in Ukrainian sanatoriums require a perfect balance between visual luxury, environmental friendliness, and absolute operational sustainability.

It is in this context that leading domestic manufacturers come to the fore, such as the Ukrainian plant “Mehbud”. Being an expert in the field of metalworking, the company offers the construction sector premium facade systems, metal ceiling structures, and modern fences. Thanks to reliable anti-corrosion protection (a combination of a high-density zinc coating and a resistant polymer layer), “Mehbud” products are able to withstand the aggressive environment of the mountain climate, the high humidity of SPA complexes, and intense insolation for decades, while maintaining a flawless aesthetic design.

Below is a comprehensive rating of the top 10 Ukrainian sanatorium and recreation complexes that are shaping the new architectural paradigm of the industry, with a deep analysis of their construction solutions.

Main content: Company rating and architectural analysis

№1 – YUGEN by FIVE FORCES & Edem Resort Medical & SPA (Case study: Mountain terroir and palace classic)

Architectural profile

The projects of the Edem Family group demonstrate two radically different but equally successful architectural philosophies. The classic Edem Resort Medical & SPA in the Lviv region is a monumental palace and park ensemble that references European country residences of the XVIII-XIX centuries, complemented by modern minimalist medical buildings. In contrast, their newest project — the premium SPA resort YUGEN by FIVE FORCES in Bukovel — is a benchmark of conceptual “terroir” design and Japanese minimalism. The name “Yugen” translates as an invisible but tangible beauty that evokes deep admiration. Architect Oleksiy Zobkiv designed the complex so that it mimics the landscape: residences are equipped with green roofs featuring local Carpathian flora, and each element of the space corresponds to one of the five elements (water, fire, air, earth, ether). The interiors feature authentic products from Guculiya, AU: home, and Davide Groppi.

Construction achievements

The scale of the parent Edem Resort is impressive: the territory covers more than 50 hectares, where a golf club, tennis courts, a medical center, and its own vineyards are implemented, with renovation and expansion ongoing continuously. The new YUGEN project is being built on the Yablunytsia Pass at an altitude of 1050 meters above sea level. Building at such an altitude is an extremely complex engineering task. On a 1.7-hectare site, 38 unique residences and a Wellness-SPA space of 1000 sq. m are being erected. The strategic plans of the management company Five Forces include the construction of a 50-villa complex on the slopes of the Dnipro River in Kyiv in 2028–2029 under a mixed model of resort and residences.

Engineering systems

The functioning of the facility at an altitude of 1050 meters requires extraordinary energy stability. YUGEN residences incorporate “smart home” technologies, deep geothermal energy systems to provide climate control in severe winters, as well as multi-level purification systems for panoramic infinity pools. A separate engineering pride is the cryosaunas and specialized procedure rooms, the microclimate in which is maintained by precision air conditioners.

Conceptual design by Mehbud for YUGEN by FIVE FORCES

Visualization of how the cubic shaped ceiling by Mehbud can enhance the architectural look of YUGEN facilities. Given the philosophy of maximum integration into mountain nature and the use of green roofs, for open terraces, lobbies, and transit zones of the SPA center, the ideal solution is the installation of a metal cubic shaped ceiling with a premium PRINTECH polymer coating, which accurately imitates the texture of natural wood (oak, ash, or walnut). This architectural solution visually continues the wooden motifs of the exterior, creating coziness. However, unlike real wood, galvanized steel from the “Mehbud” plant is absolutely not subject to rotting, drying out, or deformation in the aggressive humid climate of the highlands and the specific environment of the SPA. The clear, mathematical rhythm of the cubic shaped racks will allow architects to perfectly hide main air ducts and integrate linear LED lighting, forming a soft evening light that will only emphasize the panoramic views of Hoverla.

№2 – HAY Boutique Hotel and SPA (Case study: Biophilic brutalism in Bukovel)

Architectural profile

HAY Boutique Hotel and SPA, designed by the star architectural studio YOD Group, is a true manifesto of new Ukrainian design. The object won the title of “Best Boutique Hotel of Ukraine” (World Travel Awards 2024, 2025) and numerous international awards, including silver at the IDA Design Awards and victories at LIV Hospitality and Thermory Design Awards. The main concept is based on the aesthetics of Carpathian hay, which consists of 88 local herbs (reflected in the names of the restaurants 88 Vinotheque and 88 Daily). The building itself is designed to resemble a natural rock with cascading vegetation that changes depending on the building’s tier — from ferns at the bottom to alpine shrubs on the roof. The interior features Noom armchairs, Litvinenko Design carpets, and Morgental textiles, while the metal handle-brackets refer to traditional Carpathian blacksmithing.

Construction achievements

The hotel has a total area of 5500 sq. m and features 40 unique rooms, each of which provides a 360-degree view of the Carpathians. An unprecedented construction achievement was the realization of a pool on the sixth floor that flows out into the open air. Part of this pool overhangs the lower floors on a cantilever, and its bottom is equipped with round glass portholes that serve as a transparent ceiling for the fifth-floor corridor. Thanks to this, the architects managed to turn an ordinary transit corridor into a fantastic “oceanarium” where guests can observe the swimmers from below.

Engineering systems

The cantilevered pool with a glass bottom required designers to use post-tensioned reinforced concrete to compensate for the colossal dynamic loads of the water mass. The water treatment system is hidden in deep technical shafts to maintain the acoustic comfort of the rooms. Panoramic glazing is made using multifunctional glass of the latest generation, which prevents heat loss in winter and overheating of rooms in summer, ensuring high standards of energy efficiency.

Conceptual design by Mehbud for HAY Boutique Hotel and SPA

Visualization of how the facade cassettes by Mehbud can enhance the architectural look of HAY facilities. To support the monumental image of a wild stone “rock”, which is organically overgrown with greenery, the exterior of the building will be ideally complemented by premium facade cassettes of a closed type from the “Mehbud” plant in deep matte anthracite or graphite shades (for example, RAL 7016 or RAL 7024). Such modular metal structures with a heavy-duty polymer layer will serve as a flawless, graphic background for cascading facade landscaping. Unlike heavy natural stone or architectural concrete, facade cassettes are significantly lighter, which radically reduces the static load on cantilevered extensions and the building’s foundation. At the same time, they ensure the full functioning of the hinged ventilated facade (HVF) system, draining condensate away from the insulation and guaranteeing maximum energy efficiency in the severe Carpathian winter.

№3 – Verholy Relax Park (Case study: Biophilic integration into a pine forest)

Architectural profile

The country complex Verholy Relax Park, located in the Poltava region, is a textbook and the most recognizable example of biophilic recreational architecture in Ukraine. Designed by the YOD Group team, the complex declares its main principle — total respect for the forest ecosystem. The interiors and exteriors of the chalets, hotel buildings, and restaurants are executed in the aesthetic of warm minimalism, dominated by noble textures: solid wood, patinated copper, travertine, and natural stone. Architectural respect for nature is taken to the absolute: during the expansion of the terraces, centuries-old pines were not cut down, but were allowed to literally “sprout” through special holes in the floor and roofs.

Construction achievements

Starting with a small room capacity, today the complex has grown to more than 55 rooms, numerous individual cottages, and luxurious villas. The latest achievement was the large-scale renovation of the Food & Forest restaurant (increasing the area to 737 sq. m), where a massive copper bar island and a unique wine cabinet were built — a glass cylinder three meters in diameter, inside which 800 bottles of collectible wine are suspended on cables. Special attention should be paid to the new generation guest houses — Chalet 5.0 (285 sq. m), which combined living space with their own full-fledged mini-SPA (indoor pool, jacuzzi, bath) under one roof. A separate SPA complex building with an area of 600 sq. m was also erected.

Engineering systems

Preserving the microclimate in the pine forest, given the active operation of the restaurants and SPA, required the use of advanced HVAC solutions. For the restaurant’s professional kitchen, the engineering company installed powerful supply and exhaust systems with electrostatic filters that completely neutralize fat aerosols and smoke odor from open grills, preventing them from polluting the forest air. In the panoramic zones, designer floor radiators of the convector type are installed, which cut off the cold from the glass without blocking the view. The buildings are equipped with supply and exhaust units with heat recovery ECOSTAR 1000 EC XV and TCL chillers.

Conceptual design by Mehbud for Verholy Relax Park

Visualization of how the “Rancho” fence by Mehbud can enhance the architectural look of Verholy Relax Park facilities. The privacy of individual premium villas and chalets requires very delicate physical and visual zoning of the forest area. The use of solid stone or concrete fences is unacceptable, as it disrupts soil aeration and migration routes for small forest fauna. An ideal compromise between nature and privacy is the horizontal “Rancho” fence from “Mehbud” with a realistic wood imitation. Thanks to the calculated distance between the lamellas, the fence provides free air circulation, which is vital for the root systems of coniferous trees. At the same time, the specific viewing angle from pedestrian paths makes the lamellas visually merge into a solid impenetrable plane, guaranteeing chalet guests 100% privacy. The double polymer-zinc coating of the metal guarantees that the fence will not rot in the moist undergrowth and will not require chemical treatment or annual painting.

№4 – Derenivska Kupil (Zakarpattia region)

Architectural profile

The Derenivka tract was famous for its thermal waters even since the days of Austria-Hungary. Today, the sanatorium complex “Derenivska Kupil” (Nyzhnie Solotvyno village) is an exquisite symbiosis of modern recreational architecture and high park art. The architecture of the complexes, such as the De Luxe hotel “Erdeli” (named after the outstanding Transcarpathian artist), gravitates towards minimalism and restrained elegance, acting as an ideal background for art. The main conceptual axis of the object is that the buildings dissolve into a unique arboretum of 14.5 hectares, where more than 5 thousand plants (sakuras, magnolias, 180 varieties of irises) are collected and a large-scale park of modern sculpture is located.

Construction achievements

The revival and new construction started in 2016 and are of a permanent nature. Developers have erected several monumental hotel buildings (up to 7 floors), thermal pool complexes, 3 restaurants, and an extensive infrastructure. The complexity of the landscape and the status of the object is emphasized by the commissioning in 2020 of a certified helipad. The complex has also become an important hub for architectural and construction forums in Ukraine.

Engineering systems

The key innovation of the sanatorium is the introduction of principles of the circular economy and the cascading use of thermal energy. To operate the SPA center, powerful industrial heat pumps are used. They extract excess natural heat from the thermal water coming from a well with a temperature of +43°C, cooling it to a comfortable +32-34°C. The released energy is not lost, but is directed to the free heating of ordinary fresh pools. The recovery system of massive food block freezers works similarly — excess heat from their compressors is used to heat the indoor pool and generate hot water for hotel rooms.

Conceptual design by Mehbud for Derenivska Kupil

Visualization of how the rack ceiling by Mehbud can enhance the architectural look of Derenivska Kupil facilities. The thermal pool area is arguably the most aggressive environment for any building materials due to the permanent evaporation of mineralized water, saturated with hydrogen sulfide and other active microelements. Ordinary plasterboard or mineral ceilings are quickly destroyed here. The optimal engineering and aesthetic solution is an aluminum or galvanized rack ceiling from “Mehbud” with specialized anti-corrosion polymer protection. Long linear guides visually lengthen the pool room, creating a dynamic perspective, and a thoughtful mounting system allows engineers to dismantle individual racks at any time to access complex ventilation and dehumidification systems hidden in the above-ceiling space.

№5 – Verkhovyna Resort Medical & Wellness (Zakarpattia region)

Architectural profile

Located in the village of Kamianytsia, just 15 km from Uzhhorod, the five-star Verkhovyna Resort hotel is an architectural homage and a visual dialogue with the neighboring Nevytsky Castle of the XIII century. The three-story main building is designed in the style of an old European palace of the romanticism era. However, the massiveness and classical proportions of the exterior contrast with the emphatically modern, light interiors of the Medical Gallery and open terrace pavilions, where glass, light wood, and modern lounge design dominate.

Construction achievements

On the site of the historical location, which hosted a legendary concert by Mstislav Rostropovich in 1972, the developers carried out an unprecedented eight-year reconstruction and new construction (the complex opened on the eve of 2022). The main point of architectural attraction became a unique infinity pool on the roof of the summer terrace. Its structure is immersed directly into the crowns of forest trees, which creates the illusion of being on distant exotic islands.

Engineering systems

The Medical Gallery Verkhovyna is equipped with the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment in the region. The engineering of the pool complex required the creation of a complex hydraulic overflow system (to achieve the infinity effect) and multi-level water filtration. The building features modern centralized climate control systems and reinforced acoustic insulation of floors, which is critical to ensure absolute silence during mental and relax procedures in the rooms.

Conceptual design by Mehbud for Verkhovyna Resort

Visualization of how the “Blinds” fence by Mehbud can enhance the architectural look of Verkhovyna Resort facilities. Considering the status of a premium medical and wellness complex, the issue of security and restricting access by outsiders to the closed territory is a priority. However, the erection of solid walls would neutralize the feeling of open forest space. The use of the premium metal “Blinds” fence from “Mehbud” allows elegantly solving this collision. Thanks to the Z-shaped profile of the lamellas, the fence is absolutely non-transparent from the road side (ensuring security and privacy), but at the same time remains permeable to the fresh mountain breeze and morning sun. The strict geometry of metal blinds in a restrained chocolate or graphite color will perfectly complement the classic palace architecture of the main building, giving the perimeter a modern, technological sound.

№6 – Mirotel Resort & Spa (Truskavets)

Architectural profile

The nine-story building of Mirotel Resort & Spa in Truskavets became a real architectural breakthrough for the region, radically updating the visual context of the traditional balneological resort. The futuristic design of the hotel, with its large areas of glazing, smooth bionic lines, and dynamic facade, was highly praised by the professional community (the “Discovery of the Year” award from “StyleBoom AWARDS” for original architectural solutions). The interiors reflect the style of the modern luxury segment using large-format porcelain stoneware, minimalist designer lighting, and open spaces.

Construction achievements

The construction of the 184-room hotel is only a part of the large-scale project. The greatest construction achievement is the seamless integration of the hotel with the ultramodern medical-diagnostic center “Med-Palas”. This massive structure with an area of more than 10,000 sq. m is capable of simultaneously receiving up to 1,000 visitors and combines diagnostic, rehabilitation, and large-scale SPA centers under a single roof.

Engineering systems

The functioning of a hydropathic clinic of this scale requires industrial engineering approaches. The complex is fitted with specialized pipelines made of corrosion-resistant alloys for uninterrupted supply and heating of aggressive mineral waters of Truskavets directly into the baths of the balneological department. An extensive Building Management System (BMS) coordinates the work of powerful chillers, ventilation, and lighting, optimizing the energy consumption of the giant structure.

Conceptual design by Mehbud for Mirotel Resort & Spa

Visualization of how the rack facade by Mehbud can enhance the architectural look of Mirotel facilities. The massive glass facades of the futuristic hotel create a significant thermal load on the air conditioning systems during the hot summer months. The integration of a modern rack facade from the “Mehbud” plant will become a powerful tool for passive energy efficiency. Mounted on the outside of glass atriums and windows of the southern facade, metal racks will effectively cut off direct ultraviolet rays even before they hit the glass (minimizing the “greenhouse effect”), while retaining a panoramic view of the city for guests. In addition to the engineering function of thermoregulation, these structural elements will add depth to the facade, rhythm, and emphasize its modern, high-tech character.

№7 – Three Sons and a Daughter 5 (Skhidnytsia)

Architectural profile

The VIP-level hotel and recreational complex “Three Sons and a Daughter 5” in the balneological resort of Skhidnytsia (Lviv region) is an example of monumental resort development that stylistically mimics European grand hotels of the late XIX century. The complex, opened in 2014, consists of two massive buildings, the facades of which are generously decorated with classic architectural elements: pilasters, rustication, balustrades, and multi-pitched roofs with complex geometry.

Construction achievements

On a plot of 5 hectares, the developer actually built an autonomous resort town that includes 173 rooms, its own mineral water pump room, bowling, tennis courts, and a 98-seat cinema. The most significant stage of development was the construction and opening of a full-fledged indoor water park in 2018. Investments in this large-scale extension amounted to 26 million hryvnias. The water park is harmoniously attached to the main building without visual dissonance.

Engineering systems

The complex boasts one of the most powerful water treatment systems in the region. It is designed for round-the-clock service of several pools of the water park, as well as a huge SPA zone, which includes Roman baths, a Turkish hammam, a Finnish, and an exotic yeast sauna. Uninterrupted operation is provided by cascading water heating systems and massive reservoirs that level pressure drops in mountain conditions.

Conceptual design by Mehbud for Three Sons and a Daughter 5

Visualization of how the rack ceiling by Mehbud can enhance the architectural look of Three Sons and a Daughter 5 facilities. The premises of indoor water parks are characterized not only by colossal humidity but also by complex acoustics (echoes from water splashing and shouts mix with the hum of powerful ventilation). To solve this double problem, the rack ceiling from “Mehbud” is optimally suited. Thanks to the volumetric shape of the racks and the presence of an acoustic backing, such a ceiling works as a giant sound absorber, radically reducing the reverberation level in the water park and increasing the psychological comfort of visitors. The anti-corrosive galvanized core of the metal guarantees that the ceiling will not be covered with rust from constant exposure to water vapor and chemical disinfectants, maintaining a premium look for decades.

7 Top 10 sanatoriyiv Ukrayiny

№8 – Shelest (Kyiv region)

Architectural profile

The Shelest complex, located in the Vyshhorod district near the dam of the Kyiv reservoir, is another bright manifesto from YOD Group. Its architecture is based on the philosophy of biophilic minimalism: buildings do not try to dominate the landscape but maximally mimic the surrounding pine forest. The facades of guest cottages and the restaurant are clad in dark wood and metal in matte black, anthracite, and dark brown shades. This coloristic approach allows buildings to visually “disappear” in the evening twilight, blurring the boundary between interior and nature.

Construction achievements

Since the facility was erected in a complex water protection zone of the forest, builders had to abandon massive strip foundations. The light, almost weightless structures of the restaurant and reception were erected on pile fields (ground screws), which allowed preserving the integrity of the root system of centuries-old pines. Developers massively applied dry and frame construction technologies, which minimized construction waste and significantly accelerated the pace of erection.

Engineering systems

Guest insulation from external noise is ensured by walls with an increased index of acoustic protection. The facility is equipped with an advanced climate control system integrated into the overall “smart hotel” architecture, which automatically regulates energy consumption depending on the presence of guests in the room, significantly reducing CO2 emissions and operating costs.

Conceptual design by Mehbud for Shelest

Visualization of how the facade cassettes by Mehbud can enhance the architectural look of Shelest facilities. For the cladding of technical, generator, and utility blocks, which are inevitably present on the territory of any complex but should not attract the attention of guests, the design concept proposes the use of metal facade cassettes by Mehbud in deep black matte color (Deep Black). This solution will allow aesthetically “hiding” technical buildings in the shade of trees, harmonizing them with the overall biophilic style. The cassettes are quick to install, easy to wash from forest dirt and pine needles, and also serve as a reliable anti-vandal and fireproof barrier for expensive engineering equipment.

№9 – Grand Admiral Resort & SPA (Kyiv region)

Architectural profile

Grand Admiral Resort & SPA in Irpin is a vivid illustration of architectural eclecticism and the gradual evolution of a country complex. The territory organically combines cozy wooden cottages in the style of a traditional alpine village with an ultramodern Wellness & SPA building constructed later. This new building has become the architectural dominant of the complex. Its interiors masterfully balance on the edge of a brutal loft (exposed communications, polished architectural concrete) and a sophisticated luxury style (large arrays of natural marble, warm designer lighting).

Construction achievements

A real achievement of developers was the “renovation instead of demolition” approach. Instead of destroying old administrative and hotel buildings, they were deeply modernized and visually unified with new objects. Construction innovations manifested themselves in the creation of deep underground spaces under the new Wellness center. This unprecedented volume of earthworks allowed not only to hide all the complex engineering of large-scale pools away from the eyes of guests but also to equip reliable certified shelters, which became a critical competitiveness factor after 2022.

Engineering systems

The climatic systems of the Wellness zone are impressive in scale. Industrial supply and exhaust ventilation units with heat recovery are fully automated: humidity sensors instantly react to evaporation from the pools, increasing airflow to massive panoramic windows, which permanently solves the problem of condensation formation and maintains an ideal microclimate.

Conceptual design by Mehbud for Grand Admiral Resort & SPA

Visualization of how the cubic shaped facade by Mehbud can enhance the architectural look of Grand Admiral facilities. In order to visually “befriend” the old reconstructed buildings with the newest brutalist architecture of the SPA center, the best solution is their cladding using a cubic shaped facade system from the “Mehbud” plant. Metal volumetric panels in restrained industrial colors will not only give older buildings clear, modern geometry and expressive relief but will also allow laying a thick layer of mineral wool underneath them. This will radically increase the thermal efficiency of the old walls, and the air gap will ensure the removal of excess moisture from the structure, extending the life of the building for many more decades without the need for cosmetic repairs.

9 Top 10 sanatoriyiv Ukrayiny

№10 – Selfish Club (Kyiv region)

Architectural profile

The elite recreation complex Selfish Club, located right on the banks of the Dnipro River, offers architecture of warm minimalism and full synergy with water. Building shapes are distinguished by laconism, the correct proportions, and the absolute absence of visual noise. The main architectural technique is large-scale panoramic glazing — transparent walls visually eliminate the barrier between a flawlessly thought-out interior and wild river nature. The use of common stylistic features, such as natural wood, dark metal, and an abundance of light, unites different-functional structures into a cohesive ensemble.

Construction achievements

In the process of development, the territory of the complex was increased to 10 hectares. A luxurious hotel, an elite SPA complex, a unique greenhouse complex for the restaurant’s needs, and restaurant zones themselves have been designed and built here. From a construction point of view, the most interesting is the creation of above-water and floating structures. This required strengthening the shoreline using gabion structures and jewel-like driving of pile foundations directly into the riverbed of the Dnipro without disturbing the ecological balance of the river.

Engineering systems

An ecosystem approach required flawless engineering: autonomous multi-stage systems for biological wastewater treatment were introduced, which excludes the ingress of even the smallest pollutants into the Dnipro. Glass pavilions of the restaurant and hotel, in order not to lose transparency because of radiators, are equipped with hidden underfloor convectors, and the glass itself has a highly selective coating that reflects ultraviolet in summer and retains infrared radiation in winter.

Conceptual design by Mehbud for Selfish Club

Visualization of how the “Blinds” fence by Mehbud can enhance the architectural look of Selfish Club facilities. The location of a premium-class facility on the open bank of a large river leads to constant exposure to strong winds. The erection of solid masonry fences to protect VIP zones is ineffective due to the creation of turbulent vortices and the loss of visibility. The ideal solution to this aerodynamic problem is the installation of a metal “Blinds” fence from “Mehbud”. The specific inclination angle of the lamellas works as a diffuser: it breaks the dense stream of river wind into small, comfortable flows, radically reducing the windage of the structure. At the same time, guests from inside the territory can freely observe the landscapes of the Dnipro. Strict horizontal lines of metal blinds seamlessly integrate into the architecture of minimalism, emphasizing the elite status of the club.

10 Top 10 sanatoriyiv Ukrayiny

Vectors of development of the architecture of sanatoriums and hotels in Ukraine

An in-depth analysis of the leading Ukrainian sanatorium and recreational complexes allows identifying clear architectural and construction trends that will determine the development of the Hospitality industry for the next decade:

  1. Total biophilia and terroir design: The era of interference with nature and conquering the landscape is gone. Modern architecture (as proven by the HAY and Verholy cases) works on the principle of mimicry, integrating buildings into mountain slopes or pine forests using local, authentic materials and shapes.
  2. Technological autonomy and multifunctionality: Country complexes cease to be just places to spend the night. Integration of massive SPA spaces, pools overhanging cliffs on a cantilever, medical galleries, and underground infrastructural labyrinths require extremely complex engineering solutions (heat pumps, recuperation, BMS).
  3. Course for durability and operational sustainability of materials: Given the constant increase in the cost of construction work, developers focus on materials with minimal maintenance costs (OPEX). Rejection of fleeting solutions in favor of capital, materials resistant to aggressive environments is the foundation of the financial success of a project.

That is why the integration of premium products from Ukrainian manufacturers at the level of the “Mehbud” plant into such projects becomes an industry standard. Metal facade systems, cubic shaped and rack ceilings, as well as modern ventilated fences allow architects to realize the boldest parametric forms, while ensuring guaranteed wear resistance of the object both in the harsh climatic conditions of the Carpathians and in the humid recreational areas near water bodies. The architectural solutions of the future are a synergy of aesthetic genius and uncompromising material quality.
