Uniformity or Diversity in Fencing for Cottage Communities

Cottage communities and settlements have become quite common in Ukraine over the last decade. They can be located anywhere and represent isolated areas with their own infrastructure.

The construction of cottage communities is typically centralized, with a majority of buildings consisting of low-rise residential houses constructed from similar designs. Consequently, property owners seek various ways to express individuality, and fencing often plays a significant role in this regard.

TWO APPROACHES TO CHOOSING FENCING IN A COTTAGE COMMUNITY

When selecting fencing for a cottage community, two approaches can be implemented:

  1. In the first scenario, both the building project and the type of fencing are chosen by the developer. This ensures a unified style for all plots within the cottage community. Moreover, changing the fencing or elements of the exterior design of the house is not allowed—this is explicitly prohibited by the contract. Examples of this approach include “Villa Riviera” and “Sauvignon” in Odessa.
  2. In the second scenario, the plot owner can choose the type of fencing for their own territory. Usually, there are certain limitations in place—such as some developers limiting the maximum height of the fence or allowing a choice of fence color from a restricted palette.

In the first scenario, the decision on choosing fencing lies entirely with the developer, while in the second scenario, the owner can select the company to manufacture and install the perimeter fence around their plot. However, both the developer and private individuals should take into account the requirements that fencing in a cottage community must meet.

REQUIREMENTS FOR FENCING IN A COTTAGE COMMUNITY

Fences installed around plots in a cottage community are relatively low, lightweight, and sturdy structures:

  • Height: Fences typically have a low height due to the nature of their placement. The territory of a cottage community is almost always limited, and the need for tall fencing is unnecessary as unauthorized entry is highly unlikely.
  • Strength Requirements: The strength requirements are not excessively high. It is important for the fence to withstand weight and operational loads, as attempts at forcible entry are practically eliminated.
  • Corrosion Resistance: Corrosion resistance is one of the key priorities when choosing materials. It is important for the fence to maintain its neat appearance for as long as possible; otherwise, it will appear unkempt compared to neighboring structures over time.
  • Aesthetic Appearance: The aesthetic appearance of the fence is also crucial. Harmonious color and shape coordination with other fences and building finishing elements are prioritized. These factors limit the choices for plot owners or developers when selecting a fence, but with an extensive range of options available, finding a suitable solution should not be overly complex.

SOLUTIONS FOR COTTAGE COMMUNITIES FROM “MEHBUD” FACTORY

Orders for fencing structures and landscaping products for plots in cottage communities or settlements should be placed with companies that:

  1. Manufacture products using quality raw materials.
  2. Offer a wide range of shapes and colors.
  3. Control the quality of manufacturing, preventing the occurrence of defects.

Meeting these criteria is the “MehBud” factory, which offers a wide selection of solutions, including those for cottage settlements.

ADVANTAGES OF MEHBUD FENCING FOR COTTAGE COMMUNITIES

Fences offered by the “MehBud” factory for cottage communities have several advantages, making them a preferred choice for developers and residents of such properties. Here are the key advantages of such fences for cottage communities:

  1. Quality and Reliability: Manufactured from high-quality materials using modern technologies, ensuring durability and reliability. This provides protection for the territory of the cottage community against unauthorized entry and ensures the safety of its residents.
  2. Aesthetic Appeal: They feature attractive designs and a variety of styles, allowing for the selection of an optimal solution that complements the architecture of the cottage community and the preferences of its residents, contributing to the creation of a harmonious and well-maintained environment.
  3. Flexibility in Configuration: They can be adapted to various conditions and requirements of a specific cottage community. The factory offers a wide range of designs, including fences, gates, wickets, and other elements, which can be individually tailored to meet the needs of the customer.
  4. Ease of Installation and Maintenance: “MehBud” products are ready-made kits that are easily installed on-site, reducing time and costs for installation and ensuring minimal inconvenience for cottage community residents. Additionally, the fences require minimal maintenance, saving resources and time on upkeep.
  5. Compliance with Safety and Environmental Standards: The fences meet all necessary safety and environmental standards, ensuring that they pose no threats to the health of cottage community residents or the surrounding environment.

FENCES, GATES, AND WICKETS

More often than not, when outfitting a plot in a cottage community, a unified style is chosen for the fencing, gate fillings, and wickets. The optimal solution would be to use a metal panel fence made of steel components with a protective and decorative polymer coating:

  • Solid fences such as “Horizont” “Brus,” and “Vertical” are rarely used. They are more often installed between plots, on rear lanes, or around the perimeter of the community itself for better isolation.
  • The standard for cottage communities is low-ventilated fences. Until recently, the most popular choice was the “Ranch” fence, but today it competes actively with its updated version — EL RANCHO.
  • Increasingly, fences-blinds are chosen for both the cottage community perimeter and the plots within. The choice of such structures is quite extensive, but the predominant trend in recent years is the growing share of premium segment constructions such as “Exclusive-Lego” and “Premium.” Good illumination, ventilation, and stylish appearance are the main advantages of such fences.

OTHER CONSTRUCTIONS

To ensure that a plot in a cottage community looks as organic as possible, for its landscaping and for finishing the house, metal panels with protective and decorative polymer coating can also be used. Based on such products, the following are manufactured and installed:

  • Fences for balconies, verandas, or terraces.
  • Pergolas (light lattice gazebos that provide shade during intense heat).
  • Carports (steel profiles are used for cladding the side walls of the carport). Additionally, facade and ceiling profiles based on metal panels are actively used. They are used for cladding the building itself (if permitted by the plot development conditions), for sheathing eaves, and for solving other engineering tasks.

Choosing fencing or a comprehensive finishing solution for a cottage community is not the easiest task. It is important to consider a whole range of current limitations and requirements imposed on fences and barriers for such plots. On the other hand, the extensive range of products from the “MehBud” factory and the rich color palette provide the opportunity to find a suitable option for almost any conditions.
